Public Consultation for residential development at St.Patrick's Barracks, Ballymena

Public Consultation for residential development at St.Patrick's Barracks, Ballymena

Gravis Planning has recently hosted an online and remote public consultation exercise for Radius Housing’s social and affordable housing proposal at part of the former St Patrick’s Barracks site in Ballymena.

The public consultation for Radius Housing’s proposal followed approval of the Department for Communities led St. Patrick's Barracks masterplan last year, which aims to regenerate the former military base to a flagship, shared neighbourhood, mixed use, housing-led regeneration scheme.

The public consultation process included a project webpage with feedback section and consultation phone number. The webpage presented the plans by the architect – Hall Black Douglas - which included associated roads infrastructure, landscaping, children's play park and other ancillary works for the residential development.

The next step for the project, following the completion of the Pre-Application Community Consultation period, will be the submission of a planning application to Mid & East Antrim Borough Council.
