Planning approval delivered for Shane Retail Park

Strategic Planning has delivered another planning consent at Shane Retail Park following the approval of an internal mezzanine floor at Unit 4 by the Belfast City Council Planning Committee on Tuesday 26th July.

Approval of the application accommodates a new entrant to the Northern Ireland market, EZ Living, who are an expanding furniture retailer with multiple stores in Ireland. The move represents an investment of £1 million by the furniture retailer creating 25 new full time jobs once operational as well as sustaining existing jobs during construction and fit out.

Located at the entrance to Boucher Road, Shane Retail Park has almost 240,000 sqft of bulky goods warehousing and currently contains a number of well-known retailers such as Homebase, Argos, Dreams Furniture, Harveys, Smyths Toys, Dunelm and Carpetright.

The approval of the mezzanine for EZ Living at Unit 4 follows a number of other recent approvals secured by Strategic Planning including a new mezzanine floor at Unit 9  for Oak Furniture Land a new Costa Coffee kiosk. These have firmly cemented Shane Retail Park as one of the leading bulky goods retail parks in Belfast.
