Mid & East Antrim Borough Council publishes its 'Local Development Plan' - Preferred Options Paper

Mid & East Antrim Borough Council has published its 'Local Development Plan' Preferred Options Paper.  It is open for consultation until Wednesday 6th September 2017.

The Preferred Options Paper (POP) is the first formal consultation stage in the preparation of the Council’s Local Development Plan (LDP) for the Mid and East Antrim Council area and sets out the Council’s initial proposals and policy direction. The POP provides the basis for consulting with the public and stakeholders on a series of options for dealing with key issues in the Plan area.

This provides landowners and developers, or anyone else with an interest in land in the Mid and East Antrim Council area, with an important opportunity to ensure their views are taken into account as the Development Plan is produced by the Council.

Richard Bowman, Director of Planning at Strategic Planning said:

"Early engagement with the Council on the Local Plan Process is essential if you are serious about making as strong a case as possible for your land and property interests.

"We are happy to provide landowners and developers with advice and to produce representations in response to the POP on their behalf to help ensure their interests are protected.

"I would encourage anyone with land in the Mid & East Antrim Borough Council area to get in touch with Strategic Planning to discuss the contents of the POP and what it means for them."
