Issues Encountered

  • Separate applications. The proposal for the log cabins was refused due to integration and visibility issues.
  • The courtyard development required justification in terms of need.

Our Involvement

We ran the appeal against the refusal for the log cabins and effectively demonstrated that the log cabins were appropriate at this location and would integrate well into the surrounding.

Following approval at appeal of the log cabins, an application was submitted for the 10 No self-catering units. We ran this application and prepared a supporting statement that demonstrated a need for such tourist accommodation in the area and permission was subsequently granted. Both approvals supplemented the existing guesthouse on site to provide a comprehensive tourist accommodation base in Enniskillen.
