Ravenhill Reach Office Park

Redevelopment of derelict DSD site into 39 small to medium sized office units with 260 car parking spaces

Issues Encountered

  • Contamination Issues on site
  • Initial local concern over development

Our Involvement

The Department of Social Development appointed GRAHAM as the preferred developer to regenerate a derelict four acre site on the Ormeau Embankment. We were asked to engage and consult with the local community to obtain support for the planning application and move it through the planning system more rapidly.

Individual meetings with key community group representatives and local politicians were carried out culminating in a leaflet drop and public information evening at the local community offices. At the meeting residents were given the opportunity to find out more about the scheme and all issues raised on the evening were noted and responded to.

To this end, no objections to the application were submitted to Planning Service and the project received support from across the political spectrum. The local community groups submitted letters of support to

Planning Service and the local politicians played a vital role in expediting the application through the system and achieving planning permission within the desired timeframe.
