North Street Restoration and Redevelopment


Thank you for visiting our online consultation for the proposed re-development of North Street.

The proposal is to redevelop a prominent site at the corner of Royal Avenue and North Street in Belfast city centre. This includes the full retention and restoration of the Grade B+ Listed Art Deco former Bank of Ireland building. This proposed mixed-use redevelopment will include a boutique hotel, Grade A office space and residential apartments.

Under normal circumstances, consultation with the wider public on the proposal would take place through a public event, however due to current COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, the public consultation event is to be held online. Our consultation webpage therefore provides you with access to information on this proposed development in advance of the submission of a planning application and enables you to put forward your own ideas.

On Tuesday 13th October we hosted an online Webinar event which presented the proposed plans followed by a Q&A session. This this can be viewed below.
