Craighill Quarry Residential Masterplan

The proposal is for a residential-led masterplan with an average density of 15 units/ha (c. 300 units); local community and neighbourhood facilities (including local retail and services units, a community hub, children's playground and medical/fitness facilities); new access roads and associated infrastructure and ancillary works.

The site location is the former Craighill Quarry site lands to the north of the Ballycorr Road and to the south of the Ballyeaston Road Ballyclare.

Planning permission has already been secured at appeal for 26 units at the portion of the site which fronts onto the Ballycorr Road.

OUR INVOLVEMENT

Gravis Planning is providing ongoing planning and strategic communications support to the developer, Craighill Developments Ltd, for this proposed residential masterplan project with permissions already secured on site.

For the wider site we have carried out a statutory process of Pre-Application Community Consultation (including two public events), Pre-Application Discussions with the planners as well as preparation and submission of a planning application to Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
