Downshire Road Apartments

The planning application was for a proposed residential development comprising a three storey apartment block containing 21 No. apartments (6 No. 1 bedroom and 15 No. 2 bedroom), associated landscaping, access, car and cycle parking areas. The proposal necessitates the demolition of Downshire Road Church Hall and adjacent office buildings, and the design includes a number of features to achieve low carbon emissions.

OUR INVOLVEMENT

Gravis prepared and managed the planning application working with a team of consultants to successfully deal with all matters raised by statutory consultees. This led to a recommendation to approve by the Ards and North Down Borough Council Planning Department which was endorsed by the Planning Committee.

Our Strategic Communications Team also undertook political engagement with local elected representatives including North Down MLAs and Hoylwood and Clandeboye DEA Councillors.
