The Academy of Professional Physical Arts Northern Ireland

State of the art, specialist dance and physical arts centre located within a former commercial unit with associated parking and access.

Issues Encountered

  • Specific unit chosen as it met the unique requirements of the business. I.e. high ceilings, prime location.
  • Unit fell within lands zoned for industrial and commercial use
  • Aiming to achieve planning permission within a short time period

Our Involvement

We managed and submitted the change of use application while also engaging with local political representatives to ensure support. Despite significant policy hurdles to overcome, the application was streamlined and permission granted within 3 months of submission.

Subsequent to achieving planning permission, we also undertook APPA-NI’s PR and marketing activity in the lead up to and after the centre’s official launch.
