Gilford Mill

The proposed planning application involves the conversion and extension of the vacant mill building to provide a mixed-use development.

These plans represent the first phase in the redevelopment of the wider Gilford Mill site. The following uses are proposed: garden centre, restaurant, residential apartments, servicing, parking, storage and access and landscaping.

OUR INVOLVEMENT

Gravis Planning ran a remote and online consultation for the application due to the Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing restrictions.

We managed the extensive pre-application community consultation process, setting up briefing meetings to communicate key information about the proposed project to the local community and elected representatives. Social media activity was also taken forward with details of online and remote consultation.

Gravis Planning prepared the planning application and is monitoring its progress through the planning system and providing advice on a range of planning related issues.
