Construction of New Retail Warehouse Unit

Planning approval was granted for the construction of an additional retail warehouse unit with internal mezzanine floor within the existing Shane Retail Park. The proposal is 1688sqm for the sale of bulky goods with internal mezzanine floor and associated general site works.

The retail warehouse unit represetns a £2m investment and 15 additional jobs.

Our Involvement

We took forward a Retail Impact Assesment, Assessment of Need and Alternative Sites Assessment to demonstrate the acceptability of the proposal at this location.

A full process of Pre-Application Community Consultation was carried out in advance of submission of the application including a public event within Shane Retail Park attended by adjacent residents from Stockmans Lane and other retailers from the Park. We also briefed and gained support from local councillors for the proposal.
