A masterplan proposal for a comprehensive, residential-led, mixed-use development that will create a new ‘urban village’ that knits into the existing urban fabric of the wider Jordanstown area.
The University of Ulster is moving the majority of their current operations at the Jordanstown campus into a new purpose built Belfast city centre campus. The redevelopment masterplan will set the framework within which future development on site will take place and establishes the design principles for development on site.
Gravis Planning manages a wide-ranging team that includes design, environmental and property consultants. Gravis Planning is also responsible for coordinating the public and stakeholder engagement process in relation to the masterplan proposal.
Gravis Planning prepared the Environmental Statement that will accompany the planning application for the Masterplan. Pre-Application discussions are still on-going with statutory bodies in order to obtain agreement on how best to overcome any identified issues. A planning application for this project was submitted in early 2013.
