Retained by Lisburn City Council in April 2014 to prepare a development framework forthe lands to the west of Lisburn City. A strategically important location, as it is located atthe confluence of two of the main transport corridors in the northern part of the island ofIreland and also contains a number of key parcels of land, each of which are of at leastsub-regional importance in their own right (i.e. the Blaris lands, Sprucefield RegionalShopping Centre, Maze Long Kesh and Down Royal Racecourse).
We project managed the framework, working with AECOM and RSM McClureWatters, for the Development Framework Plan and were also responsible for coordinatingthe public and stakeholder engagement process in relation to the West Lisburn Development Framework proposals.
The West Lisburn Development Framework is a non-statutory framework plan producedwith the intention of being the overarching strategy document for the subject lands for the20 year period to 2035 and will be an important tool in helping to inform the production ofthe forthcoming Lisburn Castlereagh Local Plan, which the Council will commence in2015.
