Social Housing Schemes

Providing planning advice and assessing the development potential of a range of sites throughout Northern Ireland for social housing schemes and preparing concept layout plans. Carrying out ‘due diligence’ on completed residential developments that social housing providers are considering for purchase.

Issues Encountered

• Carrying out research and providing planning and development advice to the client in relation to development potential of sites for social housing provision.

• Preparing concept layouts for sites to provide an indication on unit numbers achievable on site.

Our Involvement

We were engaged by the client to provide advice in relation to the development potential and planning issues associated with various sites across NI. We also prepared concept layouts for each site, which provided the client with an indication of how to best develop the sites and achieve the required development density. In certain circumstances, we would also submit planning applications for sites and also carry out ‘due diligence’ reports on developments that have been built out and which the client group was considering for purchase.
