TG Eakin Office and Manufacturing Facilities Extension

This proposal seeks planning permission for additional manufacturing and storage facilities at the Ballystockart Headquarters. The extension is needed at Ballystockart to house supplies to be distributed across the island of Ireland. Eakin are continually growing and the increased capacity at Ballystockart Headquarters is necessary to accommodate business operations and maintain their position as market leaders.

Planning approval was obtained for the construction of a 1300 square metre, 2-storey office suite ancillary to the existing business and the reuse of existing hard standing to provide additional car parking with associated landscaping in 2016.

Gravis Planning were appointed by Eakin to conduct a period of community consultation and undertake political engagement on the proposed extension prior to the submission of a planning application. The project is below the statutory requirements for a formal Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC) process, however community consultation and political engagement were undertaken as best practice nonetheless.

Our Planning team also advised the client prior to submission whilst also preparing environmental documentation to be submitted alongside the planning application to Ards and North Down Borough Council's Planning Department.
