Our Involvement
The proposal is for the development of a 146-bed hotel, over 5 floors, with 17 additional bedrooms (and a new build over 5th floor subject to structural investigations) at Centre House, 69-87 Chichester Street, Belfast. The proposal was designed by Coogan & Co Architects on behalf of Kilmona Holdings Ltd.
The new hotel will have a number of benefits including increased investment in the area, the creation of new jobs, increased tourism and will also provide a boost to the retail and hospitality sectors.
Gravis Planning has worked as part of the project team from pre-application stage until a planning application was submitted in January 2023. Throughout this time, we managed the pre-application community consultation process and produced a Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC) Report which was submitted along the planning application.
During the consultation period we set-up and managed an online webpage, dedicated project voicemail and email service. We also oversaw the notification of local residents and key stakeholders to ensure they had the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposals. Gravis Planning hosted a public event in August 2022 where members of the project team were in attendance to respond to any issues raised.
