This proposal is for a new social housing development on lands zoned as open space at Ballymagroraty, Derry City. The approved plans comprise 94 units; mainly semi-detached houses and apartments, with several units being wheelchair accessible.

The approved plans also include a large open space with outdoor gym equipment, a nature trail and pedestrian linkages to the community centre which will bring substantial social benefits for residents.
The planning application was brought forward in partnership with Apex Housing and Braidwater / EHA Group to address the significant need for social housing in Derry.
The proposal will provide an investment of circa £11.5 million to the local economy and will create 80 new construction jobs.

Gravis Planning prepared and managed the planning application as it progressed through the planning system, providing advice and solutions to planning related matters. We also carried out the statutory Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC) exercise for the planning application.
The application was approved by Derry City and Strabane District Council in June 2022.
