24 June 2025

On behalf of Córas Iompair Éireann (‘CIÉ’), we are pleased to have secured planning permission in recent weeks for upgraded advertising displays on Lansdowne Road and in the East Wall area of Dublin.

The advertising consent secured at the Lansdowne Road site involved the replacement of an existing internally illuminated scrolling display with a new slimline digital display. Located to the immediate north of the DART station which services the Aviva Stadium, this is a prime advertising location in the city. As part of the permission granted, an existing display at Macken Street Railway Bridge - which is a Protected Structure - will be permanently decommissioned and removed.

The consent secured in East Wall involved the replacement of 2 no. existing backlit displays with 2 no. digital displays, along with the permanent decommissioning and removal of an adjacent backlit display.

As the country’s largest public transport operator, CIÉ owns a substantial number of outdoor advertising sites nationwide and is committed to an ongoing programme of improvement and modernisation, which Gravis Planning is proud to be supporting.
