Gravis supplies critical Retail Impact Assessment for successful B&M Bargains approval in Aberdeen

3 April 2025

On behalf of Peter Vardy Property Management Services, we are pleased to have supported the client’s planning agent in securing planning permission for a new B&M Bargains store in Aberdeen, from Aberdeen City Council.

The new store will create up to 50 full-time and part-time jobs and be located on Aberdeen’s Lang Stracht, a short commute from the city centre with public transport links. A total of 6 electric vehicle (EV) charging points are also included to promote the use of EVs in the Aberdeen area.

Gravis Planning conducted the Retail Impact Assessment for this proposal, which was critical in demonstrating to the planning authority that the approved retail use would not have an unduly detrimental impact on existing retail uses in the surrounding area and would boost the local economy by improving choice for consumers.

We look forward to seeing this development come to fruition in the near future.
