The Proposal

Fermac Properties Ltd. is seeking planning permission for amendments to an extant approval for housing on lands formerly part of Cabin Hill, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast BT4.

The extant approval for residential development on site was granted in 2007, which was affirmed this year by Belfast City Council as the relevant planning authority by way of issuing a Certificate of Lawful Existing Use and Development (CLEUD).

The proposed amendments to this approval will include reduced density, with overall unit numbers coming down from 66 dwellings to 51 dwellings. This reduced density means that proposed dwellings will be more in keeping with those currently found in the area and comprise (mostly) of semi-detached and detached dwellings.

This consultation webpage allows you to view information on the proposed development in advance of the planning application being submitted and provides you with the opportunity to submit your own feedback on the proposals.

There will also be an opportunity to meet the project team at a public consultation ‘drop-in’ event on Tuesday 3rd October 2023 at any time between 12 - 2 and 4 - 7pm in the Barnett Suite at the Stormont Hotel, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast BT4 3LP,

Members of the project team will be present at this event to respond to any questions you may have regarding the proposals.
