Barry has worked for communications agencies in London and Yorkshire and spent more than 25 years advising local and national politicians in Westminster, the North of England and Northern Ireland.
He was the Chief Parliamentary Adviser to former NI First Minister, Lord David Trimble, in Westminster between 1997 – 2003, including the period up to and beyond the signing of the Good Friday Agreement. Subsequent roles included Senior Press Officer at regional development agency Yorkshire Forward, Policy Officer to the Leader of Bradford Council and Senior Parliamentary Assistant to a UK Government Minister.
Over the past decade, he was provided professional communications and public affairs advice to a broad range of private and third sector clients including digital and tech firms, service providers and housing associations.
